DAY 1: UK - Channel crossing - Brussels.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent, where you will be met by your tour director and transferred to Brussels for one night. If you are travelling by Eurostar, our representative will meet you at Brussels station and transfer you to your hotel.
DAY 2: Brussels - Rhine cruise - Frankfurt area.
Today, journey into Germany and to the shores of the mighty Rhine for an afternoon's scenic river cruise past hilltop castles, quaint wine villages, terraced vineyards and the Lorelei Rock before heading to the Frankfurt area for one night. (B, D)
DAY 3: Frankfurt area - Romantic Road - Innsbruck.
The highlight today is undoubtedly the 'Romantic Road', which runs north to south as far as the Alps, and the picturesque town of Rothenburg, with its ancient ramparts, cobbled streets and 16th-century houses. In the afternoon, travel amidst the farmlands of Bavaria and cross the Danube and the Austrian border to the Tyrol region. Admire grand alpine scenery as you approach Innsbruck for one night. (B, D)
DAY 4: Innsbruck - Brenner Pass - Venice area.
This morning, journey into Italy by way of the majestic 'Europa Bridge' and the Brenner Pass. Continue to Venice for an orientation of the city starting with a canal boat ride followed by a visit to a typical Venetian glass blowing factory. Overnight in the Venice area. (B, D)
DAY 5: Venice area - Verona - Lake Lucerne area.
This morning enjoy a stop in Verona to see the legendary balcony of Juliet before heading through a landscape of vineyards and farmlands to the Swiss border. Climb to the St Gotthard tunnel and descend to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne for one night. (B, D)
DAY 6: Lucerne - Dijon.
This morning enjoy one of Switzerland's finest cities, nestling amid snow-capped Alps and surrounded by a lake embellished by the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss. Your visit focuses on the impressive city walls, the ornate patrician houses lining cobblestone streets and the famous Lion Monument. Perhaps join the optional excursion to Mount Stanserhorn. In the afternoon journey into France for one night in the charming town of Dijon, delightfully set on the banks of the River Daubs. (B)
DAY 7: Dijon - Paris.
This morning leave Dijon and travel via the autoroute to Paris, for an afternoon's included sightseeing with a local guide. Your introduction starts with many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysées, to name just a few. This evening you'll have a choice of optional activities. Overnight in Paris. (B)
DAY 8: Paris - Channel crossing - UK.
Say farewell to Paris and head to the Channel port where your tour ends. After a short Channel crossing, join your coach service to London. If you are travelling by Eurostar you will be transferred to the railway station for your journey back to the UK. (B)
